Devaney Family History

Michael Devany (ca. 1835 - 1896) was Judy's father's paternal grandfather, and Mary Noon (ca. 1841 - 1915) was his wife. They lived in Arraghan, a small townland near Bellanagare (a larger townland) in County Roscommon, Ireland. Arraghan can also be spelled "Arrahan," and is probably pronounced something like that, with the 'g' almost silent.

Higgins Family History

Thomas Higgins (ca. 1824 - 1890) was Judy's father's maternal grandfather, and Mary Coll was his wife. They lived in Killaster, another small townland near Bellanagare. Killaster was next to Arraghan, and this Higgins family lived on Killaster bog.
