Because there are so many records I have split
them up and associated them with the index individuals shown above. The records are arranged chronologically for
each index individual. Each record is
preceded by a “record number”—the date of the record in YYYY-MM-DD format. Transcriptions of the Quebec Catholic parish
records (and all of these parish records are Catholic),
in French, may be found in the document “St George - Transcriptions.doc”. The Quebec Catholic parish records always
name the mother by her maiden name.
Records pertaining to in-laws (the baptism record for the spouse, and
the marriage record for her parents, for instance) are indented. Records wholly pertaining to the grandchildren
are indented and colored green.
Auxilliary records (included because they are of interest) are indented
twice and colored brown.

record. She believed that Joseph and
Peter were sons of Francois & Flavie.
This record verifies the ID of Joseph St. George bapt. 16 Oct. 1844 (see
record above) as son of Francois & Flavie, in spite of
the surname error for Flavie. I think
Francois & Flavie themselves were back in Canada by 1870. Francois died there in 1876 (see below). This record is also interesting because it
verifies that “Harper” was an Americanization of “Harpin” (see below).} [1870 U.S. Census, Brookfield, Worcester Co.,

All, and their parents, were born in Canada. Maria? could not write, and Corlis attended school within the Census year. {This record is very hard to read. The index transcriber had “Clara,” “Aleck,” “Frank,” “Corlis,” and “Marisse,” and surname “Lerenzo.” I see “St. George” for the surname, and LR agrees with me, that this is a record of Flavie and her children. The correct ages are 62, 21, 23, 16, and ?. Corlis was actually born in MA, but I think the family had been in Hardwick, MA, in the 1860s, returned to Canada before 1870, and came to Brookfield, MA, after Francois died in 1876.
