There's a lot we're unsure of here. So basically this family group is hypothetical, and we'll use it as a starting point for proving the relationships.

xE. The inscription on Mary Doyle's tombstone included "wife of Thomas Doyle."x
xF. The burial plot records gave Martin Doyle's date of burial as 26 Sept. 1864. There was no tombstone for him, unless it was under the frozen snow. We were told (presumably this came from burial records) that Martin was of age 57 years at the time of his death, and that Mary Doyle was the mother of Martin. It appears that Martin was the owner of this Doyle burial plot, but it seems likely that Peter Kehoe was a co-owner.
xG. Since Elizabeth Doyle's husband, Peter Kehoe, was buried in the Doyle plot, we hypothesize that she was a sister of Martin Doyle.
xH. Thomas Doyle was the godfather of Peter Kehoe & Elizabeth Doyle's daughter Catherine (b. 1839), so we're hypothesizing for now that he was a brother of Elizabeth.
xI. Patrick Doyle was the godfather of Peter Kehoe & Elizabeth Doyle's son Thomas (b. 1843), so we're hypothesizing for now that he was a brother of Elizabeth. The same Patrick Doyle, we suppose, was the godfather of Martin & Jane Doyle's son John (b. 1843).
xJ. Ship passenger list, "Sheffield," arrived at port of NY 18 Aug. 1832; NARA microfilm series M237, roll 17, list no. 569. Passengers included Martin (age 24), Elizabeth (18), Mary (14) and Thomas (12) Doyle. So we hypothesize that Mary and Thomas are sister and brother to our Martin and our Elizabeth.
