Mary Holt

Note: Mary's Holt's parentage is based on circumstantial evidence. There was a Sophia Holt living nearby in the Canton district of Baltimore in the 1860's through 1880's, who had a daughter Mary who was born about 1841 in Maryland. It seems extremely likely that this Mary is the same Mary Holt who married Robert M. Atkinson sometime around 1868.

Robert Mitchel Atkinson's Civil War records

8 Sep 2016: I went in to the National Archives to get Robert Atkinson's and Washington Atkinson's (both sons of Amos Gilbert Atkinson (1806-1852)) Union Army compiled service records. The records were available online there, via Fold3, near the sign-in desk. There were two sets for Robert, one of 3 images, entitled "Personal Papers, 1st series," and the other (not titled) of 24 images.
